Trouble?

"When we strive to be better than us, everything around us also gets better." - Paulo Coelho

Hello Reader!!

This is my third blog from the Listening Course. at this meeting we are still using Syam-OK for our learning, for the use of the application of love there are no obstacles at all. Everything went smoothly unlike last week which had a disturbance when we wanted to access it.

For this meeting, it begins with a class meeting on Google Meet to discuss the problems we face in doing last week's assignments. There were no specific questions submitted by anyone from my class and I also felt that there were no excessive obstacles last week. After that, we are back to working on the tasks that are available in Syam-OK.

For this week's meeting, I'm having network problems. So when I was working on Track 5 Quiz 1, my network suddenly disappeared and I couldn't access anything. After about 15 minutes the network finally recovered, but unfortunately I have 5 minutes left to do it. I answered all the questions but haven't had the chance to hear the audio properly, I also repeated to answer the question after answering all the questions whose deadline is near. I fixed it in Track 5 Quiz 2 by answering questions and listening to the audio well. I still have to practice harder to listen to the audio well, I have a little difficulty in concluding a conversation and choosing the correct answer in the question because the answers are almost the same and many are mentioned in the audio. I have to focus more on reading the questions and listening to the audio.

For this week enough up to here andddd...

"LISTENING COURSE"

"Problems are an opportunity for you to do your best." - Duke Ellington

Hello Reader!!

Back again in the second week of the listening course! Before that,I will explain a little about this listening course.

Listening is one of the components of a person's skills when they have good interpersonal skills. An effective communication can be done by someone if they have good listening skills as well. And the ability to listen is something that a person must have if he wants to establish effective communication.(https://gustiiandi.wordpress.com/2014/04/30/listening/)

The following are some of the functions and uses of listening:

1.Can practice our pronunciation skills better

2.It will be much easier to do and complete the structure exercise. The reason is that we often hear and listen to English, there will be more and more sentences that we can use.

3.Besides, it can also increase our vocabulary.

4.Make it easier for us to tell stories, communicate, and interact with the people around us.  (https://visitpare.com/pojok-bahasa/listening/)

So, the image above is an image from the web which is used especially for Makassar State University students, in which it consists of many parts that play a role during the lecture process. For students themselves, they usually use a "Learning Management System" during the learning process. After that we will enter our ID and search for the class we want to follow. Well, this is my second week in the second semester using Syam-OK for this distance learning media. For Syam-OK itself, in the last few days, it has experienced problems, namely the difficulty of accessing it because many students use it simultaneously, but earlier Syam-Ok itself can be used properly again.

In the second meeting of this listening course. We are again given some audio exercises which we will use to answer an answer. The task is easy enough in my opinion, but at times I start answering questions and then finish them, I found the answer that should have been correct was actually wrong due to the use of capital letters at the beginning of the word in the word I was supposed to write, it made me pause and take a good look at it and also there is one question whose answer I lack a point in my answer, it makes me really shock hahahahh. This time, learning is a bit easier than before and the audio is easier to understand. However, all of that is used as learning for the problems I face in the future, so that they can be done properly and correctly.

There are no other obstacles that I feel at this second meeting, everything is going as usual and about the mistakes I made at this meeting, hopefully I can fix them in the next meeting.

For this week enough up to here andddd...

DISTANCE EDUCATION

"The purpose of education is to sharpen intelligence, strengthen willpower and refine feelings." - Tan Malaka

Hello Reader!!

What Are Online Schools?

Online school learning is a learning method that uses an internet-based interactive model and a Learning Management System (LMS). Like using Zoom, Google Meet, and others. Unlike online, the offline learning system is a learning system that requires face-to-face learning.

Distance learning has many pros and cons from among the people. especially among students who are still in elementary and junior high schools, the main cause is the lack of attention of students so that it is difficult to understand learning and also parents who still find it difficult to use technology.

As for the kinds of methods used during this distance learning, including:

1. E-Learning

This online learning method is generally used by educational institutions from Senior high school to universities. This e-Learning is website-based, so both students and teachers must access the website first. In this system, the interaction will be in text form. Students can ask directly about the material being taught. Later the teacher can also answer questions from students on the website, the concept is like chatting.

2. Videos

Video learning is an interactive learning solution. Learning through video can be said to be useful only for explanation. Because there is no interaction between teachers / lecturers and students. In the video, there will usually be an explanation of the material to be studied. With videos, students will understand better especially by being given direct examples or illustrations. This video can later be shared via E-Learning, email or others.

3. Video conference

Video conferencing is the same as video calls, where teachers and students can interact over long distances. Today, there are applications such as ZOOM which are commonly used for online learning. With this application, many people can participate directly to listen to explanations from teachers who also use the same application.

4. Module

Modules are also currently selected for distance learning. Usually this module is in the form of a pdf so that students can open it through their laptop or cellphone. This module can be a guide for students to learn. Because there is no teacher, students must be independent in studying the material in the module. This will also ensure students continue to study even if there is no teacher supervising them.

We miss face-to-face learning with friends at school and it is true that face-to-face learning makes it easier for students to understand lessons and will not be constrained by networks such as distance learning and my difficulties were there, it was difficult to understand the learning especially coupled with the inadequate network during the video conference, but I tried to solve it by asking friends who could listen well to all the lessons that had been taught and kept trying until I understood the lesson. Distance learning is new to us but once it gets used to it it becomes easy.
